Doghobble has two homes in North Georgia, and they are two different experiences. If you have seen the name in both Blue Ridge and Dahlonega and wondered whether they are the same place, here is the simple answer.

Are Doghobble Cellars and Doghobble Wine Farm the same place?

No. They are two separate locations under the same brand, about an hour apart.

Doghobble Cellars  is a cozy wine tasting room on Main Street in historic downtown Blue Ridge, Georgia. It is a walkable, in-town spot to sip and relax while you explore the mountain town.

Doghobble Wine Farm  is the 80-acre working vineyard and farm on the Dahlonega Plateau, where the grapes are grown and the wine is made. It is a destination in the countryside, with vineyards, animals, and event space.

Same wine, same family, two very different visits.

What is Doghobble Cellars in Blue Ridge?

Doghobble Cellars is the tasting room, not a vineyard. It brings the wines of Doghobble Wine Farm into downtown Blue Ridge so visitors can enjoy them without driving out to the countryside. It is a relaxed, social space built for the town’s steady flow of weekend visitors. At Cellars you will find 15 craft wines by the glass, flight, or bottle across red, white, sparkling, and sweet, plus baked empanadas and shareable small plates, seasonal wine slushies and cocktails, and a patio overlooking Main Street. It also hosts regular events like Comedy and Wine nights and Vino and Vinyl evenings. Learn more in our guide to wine tasting in Blue Ridge »

What is Doghobble Wine Farm in Dahlonega?

Doghobble Wine Farm, founded in 2020, is the source: an 80-acre vineyard and farm atop the Dahlonega Plateau. This is where the grapes grow and the wine is made, with a focus on indigenous American and hybrid varietals like Norton, Lomanto, Chambourcin, Catawba, and muscadine that thrive in North Georgia’s climate.

The Farm is a full destination. Alongside tastings at the Trellis, there are vineyards to walk, farm animals to meet, a grove of pawpaw trees, wood-fired pizza, and space for events and celebrations. Read why we grow native grapes » or explore the complete guide to our wines »

Which one should I visit?

It depends on the kind of day you want: –

Visit Doghobble Cellars in Blue Ridge if you are spending time in downtown Blue Ridge, want a walkable tasting stop between shops and restaurants, or are looking for a relaxed evening out with wine, small plates, and events.

Visit Doghobble Wine Farm in Dahlonega if  you want the full vineyard experience: the views, the vines, the animals, room to spread out, and a countryside destination worth the drive. Many people do both, one on each day of a North Georgia wine-country weekend.

Do both locations serve the same wine?

Yes. The wines poured at Doghobble Cellars are the wines of Doghobble Wine Farm, made from grapes grown on the Dahlonega Plateau. The Blue Ridge tasting room also offers a selection from a few neighboring Georgia vineyards, but the heart of the list is Doghobble’s own. So wherever you visit, you are tasting the same wine, just in a different setting. See the full lineup on our wines page »
